Triumph "Luxury Gaskets"...how a guy from Southern California solved a 60 year old problem in England!

Everyone loves Triumph motorcycles...

except for the guy who has to fix the leaking oil. As great as the parallel twin engine is, no one has really solved this problem until recently. This is the story of how a guy in North Hollywood solved a worldwide problem!

My name is Dan and I opened a shop in North Hollywood in 2011 that is dedicated to vintage Triumph motorcycle engines. Hundreds of cylinders, heads, and engines have found new life since then, and I have always tried to make these engine better and more reliable.

It's no secret that Triumphs are known for leaking oil. The vertically split crankcase, the pushrod tubes, the individual rocker boxes, the vibrations...they all have issues with keeping the oil inside.

Over the years different people have come up with ways around this. Using sealers on the gaskets, making gaskets out of copper, silicone, etc. but until recently no one has really solved the problem.

A few years ago I was talking on the phone to Glen Kerr of Monroe Louisiana. Glen owns the famous pre unit drag bike Dübble Trübble. He has run this twin engine Triumph on nitromethane for decades and is an expert in mechanical things, so when he talks, I listen.

Glen was telling me his friend Mike was making gaskets that didn't leak and said they were the best he had ever seen. He mailed me some samples and I had never seen anything that good for a Triumph.

The gaskets were a foam rubber material on both sides with an aluminum core. I quickly sent Mike some pre unit iron head rocker boxes for him to pattern, these are notoriously hard to seal up.

When the new gaskets arrived I figured that the best place to test these was at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. I had just built an engine for a Swiss race team and Speed Week was coming up. If those gaskets didn't leak at 8000 rpm in summer heat I would know they were the best.
To make a long story short, there were no leaks, and Patrick and Nik from Switzerland went home with a new Triumph land speed record. When I had to take the head off so the officials could measure and certify the engine, the gaskets came off clean!

Further testing of these gaskets was done by my friend Leif Lewis, who was running his 1948 Triumph Grand Prix 500cc at El Mirage dry lake. His engine was modified and was running above 9000 rpm!

Those gaskets kept his engine totally    dry during his runs.
He achieved an official SCTA record of 136.315 mph on gas!

El Mirage is a dusty place, and any oil leaks become obvious, as they attract dirt. Leif brought his bike by the shop to show me his bone dry GP engine.

The high rpm, heat, and vibration had no effect on the sealing properties of these gaskets.

Anyway that was enough proof for me, so I continued to work with Mike in making gaskets for other Triumphs, unit 500, unit 650 and 750, base gaskets and primary gaskets too.

I doubt if anyone out there cares more than I do about sealing these engines up, and I have tried every type and brand of Triumph gaskets ever made. Nothing comes close.

Solid copper? NO

Fiber material? NO

silicone sheet? NO

coated steel core? NO

I was trying to find a way to describe the Triumph gaskets that I have, and "luxury" seemed like the best description

These unique gaskets are a game changer for anyone who doesn't want their Triumph to leak oil.

What makes these gaskets so amazing?

  • NO NEED FOR ANY SEALANTS
  • REUSABLE
  • COME OFF CLEAN WITH NO SCRAPING
  • ARE ALUMINUM CORE, NOT STEEL
  • THEY ACTUALLY FIT WELL
  • NO SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
  • WON'T SHRINK OR DRY UP - EVER
  • MADE IN USA (by Cometic)
  • DO NOT NEED RETORQUING
  • ALWAYS PACKAGED FLAT
  • NO UNSIGHTLY BRIGHT COLORS
  • WILL NEVER "SQUEEZE OUT

I have spent years with my friend Mike Burchell developing these and making sure they fit correctly and ANYONE can use them without special skills or tricks

They are without a doubt the highest quality and easiest to use gaskets you can get anywhere!

Especially because they will not stick to the head OR rocker boxes no matter what! I tested these on the street, the desert, at Bonneville salt flats, never a leak.

I send these gaskets to people worldwide, and can ship anywhere

I could go on about these "LUXURY GASKETS" but you probably get the point by now.

I assure you that they are the easiest to use for professionals and beginners. There is nothing better.
